is for Leisa Weir, a radio/TV veteran with a 15-year track record as a producer, anchor and event planner for companies including Metromedia Radio, the Paramount Stations Group/Viacom and Fox Television Stations. This University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA) graduate is the recipient of multiple television EMMY awards. Ms. Weir is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, one of the nation’s first historically African-American sororities and a past chairwoman of WRAP, an award-winning public-private coalition, which fights drinking and driving in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. is for Gay O’Brien, founder and principal of LGK Marketing Communications Collective, Inc. Gay is an accomplished and award-winning professional with a 20-year track record in corporate and media communications, media planning, cause marketing, promotion, publicity, public relations and production. As a corporate manager overseeing television stations in top US markets for Taft Broadcasting, Fox, Paramount Pictures and Viacom, she developed integrated marketing campaigns and regulatory compliance programs. On the client side, Ms. O’Brien successfully launched traditional advertising and public relations programs, as well as, social media campaigns. This Howard University (Washington, DC) graduate is the recipient of many media and public relations awards, including six television Emmy awards. Nancy L. Hohns is LGK’s in-house strategist, a marketing communications leader and idea architect with more than 25 years national experience in marketing, brand strategy, advertising, public relations and special events. She has a proven track record of producing game- changing work in agency, corporate, public and nonprofit environments; a demonstrated ability to solve problems, generate workable solutions, formulate breakthrough concepts and connect to multiple stakeholders through multiple channels; and an earned reputation for attaining powerful results in the consumer, retail, food, service, trade marketing and energy efficiency industries. Nancy was recently selected to serve on the Global Advisory Council of the World Brand Congress.
Identity Brand + Design (IDBD) is LGK’s exclusive design partner and a strategic design firm that specializes in custom brand design and visual message of an entity. Founder, Bernadette Rivell Daniels, is a multiple Emmy-award winning Art Director/Graphic Designer who created the brand, print design, on-air design and animation for various television and cable networks and stations, including the Fox Business Network, SportsNet New York and NBC 10 WCAU-TV in Philadelphia. How We Started
The seeds were planted more than ten years ago on a luxurious relaxing beach island retreat in South Florida. At the time, Gay O’Brien and Leisa Chester Weir were both were well into their careers as television executives with one of the world’s largest entertainment companies. Their individual and collective success in developing local and national programming, social responsibility initiatives and cause marketing campaigns, which generated more than $10 million revenue; plus, scores of awards for excellence in marketing, public relations and television (10 TV Emmy Awards between them), fueled the fire to hang their own shingle. The LGK story is a nod to focus, strength, the power and potential of beach dreams everywhere.
