Stephen R. Covey built a powerful brand with his 7-step series of books. He authored The 7 Habits of Highly Successful:
- Teens;
- Families;
- Kids;
- Marriage;
- Network Marketing Professionals.
He also wrote The 7 Habits for Managers, Living the 7 Habits and more. In fact, his brand is so strong that it’s hard not to think of him when we hear the words “7 habits.”
This association is certainly due to his most enduring legacy, The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People – a self-help guide to personal responsibility, financial achievement and work-life balance. The book reveals the character traits and routines of highly successful people and guides readers (and listeners – the audio book is one of the most popular nonfiction books of all time) to incorporate these behaviors in their own life. At the time of his death in July 2012, the book had sold over 20 million copies since its first release in 1989 and continues to be a best-selling business classic. Other books, biographies and memoirs from business leaders more renowned and more financially successful than Covey have come and gone and yet there is something timeless about his words.
