A couple months ago, we wrote about the Small Business, Big Game contest, where Intuit would feature a small business and give them the airtime for a commercial in lieu of its own during the Super Bowl. We showed you the final four spots with instructions how to add a vote for your favorite. Previous voters included a panel of judges and Intuit employees.
And the winning small business was Goldie Blox, a company that makes construction toys for girls with an ultimate goal to inspire female engineers. According to Intuit it was the first small business ad to run in the Super Bowl, which is hardly a surprise given the rates; this year it was $4 million+ for a :30 spot. In case you missed their winning (and historic) ad, here it is.

How’s that for girl power – congratulations Goldie Blox!
